Cooltix Swap is the official ticket resale platform of Cooltix. If one of your customers can't attend your event, they can resell their ticket safely on Cooltix Swap, and someone else can buy it. The whole process happens within Cooltix, and you don't need to do anything for it to work.
You can decide when Cooltix Swap appears on your event page in Event settings > Resale.
How does it work?
A customer who can't attend lists their ticket on Cooltix Swap from My tickets on Cooltix.
Someone else finds the offer on your event page or directly on swap.cooltix.com and buys it.
The original ticket becomes invalid, and the buyer receives a new ticket with a new QR code by email, as a PDF and as a wallet pass.
We handle the ticket exchange, the delivery of the new tickets and the customer support.
Why is it good for you?
Extra revenue: For every ticket resold on Cooltix Swap, you automatically receive 1.5% of the original ticket price.
Your primary sales stay protected: A ticket can't be listed on Cooltix Swap for less than the current price of its ticket type, so resale doesn't take buyers away from your own sales.
You keep the buyer data: You receive the data of Cooltix Swap buyers just like the data of your own customers.
No fake or duplicate tickets: Every resale invalidates the original ticket, so the same ticket can't be sold twice, and tickets that were already scanned can't be resold.
Demand even when you're sold out: When your event is sold out, interested customers can subscribe on Cooltix Swap and get notified as soon as a ticket becomes available.
Displaying Cooltix Swap on your event page
Open your event and go to Event settings > Resale.
Under Cooltix Swap, use Show banner to choose when the Cooltix Swap banner should appear on your event page.
Click Save.
Only account admins can change this setting.
Always: The banner always appears on your event page.
Only when sold out: The banner only appears when there are no tickets left for online sale.
Never: The banner doesn't appear on your event page.
Important: This setting only controls whether the banner appears on your event page. It doesn't disable resale. If you choose Never, customers can still list and buy tickets for your event directly on swap.cooltix.com. To disable resale, see Disabling resale for a ticket type below.
Applying the setting to all of your events
Tick Apply to all my events before you click Save. The selected option is then applied to all of your current events (live and draft events, not past ones).
Default setting for new events
New events are created with the Always setting. If you don't want Cooltix Swap to appear on your future events, contact us at [email protected] and we'll set it up for you.
Disabling resale for a ticket type
If reselling a ticket type would cause problems (for example, tickets tied to the buyer's personal data, or tickets redeemable for accommodation), you can disable resale for it.
Open your event and go to Tickets.
Open the settings of the ticket type.
Untick Can be resold.
Click Turn off resale in the confirmation window.
This setting disables resale on both Cooltix Swap and Ticketswap. You can't disable only one of them.
Resale can only be disabled per ticket type. To disable it for the whole event, untick Can be resold for every ticket type.
Important: When you turn off Can be resold, all active resale listings of that ticket type are removed from the resale platforms immediately. Only limit resale when it's really necessary: customers will still sell their tickets, just through unsafe channels, and you won't receive the resale revenue or the buyer data.
Which tickets can't be resold?
Season passes and the event tickets created by them (see Season passes).
Tickets that were already scanned at the entrance.
Tickets of ticket types where Can be resold is turned off.
